  Moon Landings - Real or Fake?

  i've always wondered about this, especially recently.

  i've always contended that they were real and ignored the conspiracy theories.

  but if they were real, why hasn't nasa been able to send a man to the moon since the 1970s?

  Well, I've got some compelling evidence for fakery. If they went to the moon, why didn't they bring back any cheese? They could have made a fortune marketing the stuff!

  i just had an encounter with a man at the bank and i'm still shaking:.

  i pull up to the bank to use the atm ( atm in small lobby), i park next to a large truck and next to the truck was another car.

  there was 1 man using the atm, and no one in line or outside.

  I concur, anewme. The only reason anyone ever says "What, am I supposed to read minds?" is when they're trying to piss someone off, otherwise known as being a smartarse. From my view, both parties escalated the situation.

  I remember a talk about worldly association, and the elder made the comment that many jw's say that there are worldly people who are just as good as witness, being honest, caring, and outgoing. He did not deny this but used the metaphor asking if you would rather eat a piece of cake that had been floating in the sewer, or a piece of bread that had been kept in a cupboard. I remember the girl behind me whispered loudly "the sewer!" lol

  Hey Mary, I resemble that remark! Although, I do stand beside what I said earlier. I think we should get used to communicating with people we don't know, including getting used to complaints. Just because someone verbally gets upset with us is not a sufficient reason to raise alarm, imo. Of course, I wasn't there.

  William F. Buckley wrote an interesting essay called "Why don't we complain?" I recommend that if you're looking for something interesting to read.

  Imagine an elder stepping up to the microphone and.....

  imagine an elder stepping up to the microphone at the hall, and instead of doing his part, he would just talk about all that's not right in that religion and take his time talking about his doubts before stepping down as elder.....and no one would stop him from talking because he is respected and because he would be the head elder and every other elder would be taken by surprise and wouldn't know what to do..... has this ever happened, do you think it could ?.

  It could be done easily after a long boring part. Do it while the other elders/ministerial servants are asleep. ;-) Of course, everyone would be asleep also, so it would be a moot point.
